Bonus Point Option:
All students will be given the option to receive bonus points each week. This will be added to a homework or quiz grade rather than being a separate grade entry. It will count as a makeup for a late homework assignment or an increase of 0.5/20 points on a quiz (Which will make that quiz go up 2.5%; i.e. It would bring a C to a C+ or a B- to a B). You can only turn in one bonus point assignment each week, and they must be turned in attached to the quiz the following week.
Students will be able to choose one of three options.
Option 1:
Students can write a creative story, 15-20 sentences long, which relates to the topics we discussed in class that week.
Option 2:
Students can write a poem or song, 8-16 lines long, which relates to the topics we discussed in class that week. It must rhyme
Option 3:
Students can draw a picture (Must be colored) that relates to the topics we discussed in class that week. It should be labeled, so it is clear what is being depicted in the picture.
These assignments may be posted in the classroom or hallway to show off the students’ work. You must use at least 4 of the week’s terms in your assignment to get credit. Also, every assignment needs to be the student's own work, not the work of a parent or a book or webpage author.
